Yucca filamentosa 'Color Guard' (Adam's Needle) is a striking broadleaf evergreen prized for its sword-like, variegated foliage. Featuring bright creamy-yellow centers bordered by dark green margins This hardy succulent puts on a brilliant display year-round and shifts to rosy-pink tones in the winter

Grows in USDA Zone 4a through 10b (Tolerates freezing temperatures down to -30°F). Typically grows 2 to 4 feet tall and 2 to 4 feet wide. In mid-to-late summer, dramatic stalks shoot up from the center, reaching heights of 4 to 8 feet and boasting fragrant, creamy-white bell-shaped blooms attracting beneficial pollinators like butterflies and hummingbirds.

Thrives in full sun to partial shade. Full sun provides the brightest and most vibrant leaf color. Prefers well-draining soils (sandy, rocky, or loamy), but is highly adaptable to poor soils and various textures. Avoid heavy, waterlogged clay.

Extremely drought-tolerant once established. Requires low to moderate watering.  Allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings.  Practically pest-free, salt-tolerant, and highly resistant to both deer and rabbits.

Use as a garden specimen, or in a container as a focal point.  Highly suitable for xeriscaping, rock gardens, Mediterranean themes, and coastal or seashore gardening due to its high salt tolerance. The deep, resilient root system makes it useful for stabilizing slopes and banks.
