Seabrook Black currant is a vigorous early /mid season currant variety developed in England that has good yields of medium sized berries. Plant in compact and upright.
Because the plant flowers late, it a good choice for areas with late frosts. Fruits in sun or shade. Planting two varieties of currants or gooseberries has been shown to increase pollination and produce higher yields. Great for fresh eating, pies, wine, juice and preserves. High in vitamin C. Grows in USDA zones 4 - 8.
