Hameln Dwarf Fountain Grass (Pennisetum alopecuroides 'Hameln') Compact Easy Care Ornamental Grass
Hameln offers year- round beauty. The grass produces soft buff colored flower panicles in mid summer and finely textured dark green foliage that sways in the slightest breeze and turns a copper color in fall. Flowers stocks last thru winter so do not prune back until early spring .
Plant along walkways, as a entryway display, in mass plantings, in perennial borders or containers. Also makes great cut flowers.
Hameln isn't fussy about soil requirements and will thrive in any environments in USDA Zones 5-10. Once established Hameln is drought tolerant, but will tolerate wet soils. Has excellent insect and disease resistant and is deer resistant. Plant in full sun for best flower production.
