This variety is extra cold hardy, growing in USDA zones 3-7 and Zone 8 on the West Coast. Excellent for making jam, fresh eating and freezing. One of the first to ripen in early summer.

These plants bore fruit last year and will produce fruit in the Fall...and in the Spring and Fall of following years, depending on how plants are managed. Plants were originally 5+ foot tall, but will be pruned to 4 inches tall for proper planting height. This forces buds from the lower cane and roots which will produce more fruit this year. Second photo shows size of canes before pruning. Third photo shows bare root cane as you will receive, properly pruned for planting.
