This blueberry potting soil mix is what professional blueberry growers would use for the best growth and performance of their blueberry plants. As the mix matures, it will have a pH of 4.5 to 5, ideal for blueberry plants. Our nursery has been growing blueberry plants for over 30 years. This year we will sell over 3000 blueberry plants.
Our blueberry mix is coco coir free. Coco coir has a higher pH than peat moss and can be high in salts and have a high potassium content that can interfere with calcium uptake in blueberry plants. It also does not absorb nutrients as well as peat moss and can increase in pH over time if your water is alkaline.
