Autumn Blaze Maple – Acer x freemanii ‘Jeffersred’
This fast-growing shade tree will burst with an array of color come autumn when green leaves transform into a dazzling mixture of oranges and yellows, before settling into a brilliant red.
When mature, an Autumn Blaze can reach up to 50’ tall and have a spread of up to 40’. Be sure to plant at least 15’ away from any structures and, if planting more than one, leave 35’ between each tree to prevent crowding.
Autumn Blaze Maples require pruning every 2 – 3 years to thin out and removed weak branches.
