Used for centuries by native populations all across the Northwest and Midwest, from Alaska to California and Iowa to Minnesota. This shrub features flexible straight-grained wood with small white flowers that turn into tasty purple berries. Called either Pacific or Saskatoon Serviceberry. Great for native landscapes, as an ornamental feature, a hedge, or windbreak. Mature plants can reach 8’ to 20’ high. Hardy in USDA zones 2-9.
