Native to mountain ranges in Europe, Great as a bonsai or as a landscape plant.
This slow-growing spreading pine can eventually reach 4 foot high, but can be pruned to keep at 1 foot or less. Is slower growing and has needles that are finer than a Swiss Mount Pine (Pinus mugo, mughus). Prefers full sun to partial shade and is tolerant to wide variety of soil types including sandy and clay soil. Hardy to USDA zones 2-7.
