Sarcococca ruscifolia, commonly called fragrant sweetbox grows to 3-4' tall and as wide. Plant this shrub in areas where the flower fragrance can be appreciated near doors or sidewalks. Blooms in late winter. Also a great choice for dry shade gardens where other plants are hard to grow!.
Simular to S. confusa except for fruit color which is red. Leaves are dark green and glossy. Grows in part to full shade in moist well drained organic soils in USDA zones 7-9.
