Developed in Minnesota, Latham red raspberries are easy to grow and easy to pick. Canes are thornless above 2 1/2 feet. Latham is extremely cold tolerant and can be grown in USDA Zones 3-8. These hardy plants produce a high yield of brilliant red, medium to large sweet berries in mid summer. Excellent for fresh-eating, freezing, jams, jellies and canning.
Ideal for home gardens and pick-your-own operations.
Grows well to a wide range of well draining soil types with a pH of 6.5-7. Upright vigorous canes. Foliage turns a burgundy color in fall. Self-pollinating.

Plants were originally 5+ foot tall, but will be pruned to 4 inches tall for proper planting height. This forces buds from the lower cane and roots which will produce more fruit this year.
