Heritage Raspberry Canes- Semi Dormant and Semi Bare Root

This is a good choice if you want canes that are rooted in soil and will start to grow right away.  Compared to dormant bare root canes that will take 3-8 weeks to start to grow. These plants are rooted in a soilless mix that produces very fibrous roots.

Ready to plant outside if your night time temperature is over 28 degrees. Or, cover on nights when your temperature is from 24 degrees to 28 degrees. If your temperature is colder, plants will go dormant.

Heritage has good size, dark red berries with good flavor. Great for fresh eating, freezing, canning, jams and jellies. A 1969 introduction from New York State, Heritage is strong, very vigorous and productive. This heirloom variety is recommended for home gardeners and for many years has been the standard by which everbearing varieties were judged. Easy to grow. Grows best in zones 4 - 8 with excellent winter hardiness.
Plants should be planted 2-3 feet apart.

Price includes shipping to most locations. Shipped USPS Ground advantage or UPS. There may be a surcharge to AK, HI, US territories and addresses considered remote by UPS or USPS.

These plants bore fruit last year and will produce fruit in the Fall...and in the Spring and Fall of following years, depending on how plants are managed. Plants were originally 3+ foot tall, but will be pruned to 4 inches tall for proper planting height. This forces buds from the lower cane and roots which will produce more fruit this year.  Photo shows cane as you will receive, properly pruned for planting.

Plants comes with detailed planting, growing and care instructions...and you can call or email if you have additional questions.
