Sweet large 1/2" pinkish red berries when ripe. Great flavor.Less thorns than most gooseberries -- easy to pick.Eat fresh right off the bush or freeze for later use. Great in pies, and jams. Hardy to -40 degrees F and 8,000 ft elevation. Better shade tolerance than other gooseberries. USDA zones 3 - 7. In Warmer climates plant in shade.
