"Wonderful" pomegranate is a widely grown variety known for its large size, tangy-sweet flavored fruit, and bright red/orange flowers. Excellent for juicing, fresh eating, or cooking. Rich in antioxidants, vitamin C, vitamin K, and fiber.

It is a self-pollinating, deciduous tree that thrives in full sun and requires low water once established. It is popular for both its edible fruit and ornamental value, growing 8 feet tall or taller. It can be grown as a bushy shrub or trained as a small tree. Has glossy, dark green leaves. Prefers well-draining soil.

Suitable for USDA zones 8-11, but can be grown as a container plant in cooler climates (zones 5-7). Full sun is best for fruit production. Wonderful Pomegranate ripens in late fall. Hot summers are required to fully ripen the large fruit. If grown in a container you can bring tree into a heated area if extra time is needed to ripen fruit. Needs only 150 chill hours to bear fruit.  Deer resistant.
