Skyrocket Juniper (Juniperus scopulorum 'Skyrocket')
Bluish green evergreen foliage grows in a narrow column to resemble the shape of a rocket, skyrocket juniper is a great addition to narrow spaces or as an accent to other conifers. Plant as a windbreak or hedge on a side yard. Prefers full sun and moderate watering once established. Once mature, skyrocket junipers can reach 15 to 20 foot high and 2 to 3 foot wide. Hardy in USDA zones 4-9. A good alternative to Italian Cypress.
