Adapted to USDA Zones 4 to 6 in Inland locations. Typically reaches 60 to 100 feet tall at maturity, with a conical form and branches adorned by soft, bluish-green needles. It prefers well-drained soil and typically flourishes in full sun to partial shade.
Its distinctive fragrance and symmetrical shape make it a popular choice for Christmas trees for higher elevation sites in colder climates.

Regular watering, particularly during dry spells or in the initial growth stages, aids in its establishment.
