'Carmine Jewel' Cherry (Prunus fruticosa x cerasus)  is a super cold-hardy, dwarf bush cherry prized for rich, balanced sweet-tart flavor. The deep ruby red fruit is great for pies and fresh eating. The deep red pigment goes through the entire flesh, making it ideal for juices and pies.

It thrives in full sun and well-drained soil. It offers easy, low-maintenance harvesting from its compact 6-7 ft height. No ladders needed. Easy to bird net.

Plant in full sun (6-8+ hrs/day), in loamy, well-drained soil (amend clay). Space 5-8 ft apart, dig wide holes, water deeply after planting, mulch, and prune lightly after flowering for airflow and shape. Self-fertile, though planting more than one can enhance yields. Yield of as high as 30 pounds per tree have been reported.

Exceptionally cold-tolerant, it thrives in USDA Zones 2–7  and Zone 8 on West Coast. Carmine Jewel cherry can withstand temperatures as low as -40°F.

Available as a potted plant - 5 inch deep pot. Tree is 18-28 inches tall.                Available Now
