‘Nocturne’ - a Northern Highbush – Rabbit Eye cross- Large Gallon Plants
‘Nocturne’ has dusky black, medium to large, ripe berries. The taste is sweet and slightly wild. Berries ripen mid to late season and the ripe Black berries in contrast to unripe, coral colored fruit, is very showy. Fall leaf color is a brilliant red.
‘Nocturne’ is a Northern Highbush – rabbit eye cross, it is very vigorous and productive. Yields up to 12 pounds of berries on mature bushes. Berries ripen in early September.
Nocturne is partially self fertile, but yield will be more if planted with Northern Highbush varieties.
Likes Full sun in acidic soil, with regular water and fertility. Grows in USDA zones 3-7 and Zone 8 on West Coast. Grows 5'H x 6'W
