Chester Thornless Blackberry Bare Root Canes
SOLD OUT FOR 2017. ORDER NOW FOR 2018 DELIVERY!
One of the most winter hardy thornless blackberry variety... also one of the most productive. Large, great tasting berries ripen in mid-August. Bears one year after planting. Great for jams, jellies, pies, and fresh eating. Performs well in USDA Zones 5-9...North or South. Plant 4-6 feet apart. Berries will not soften or lose their shiny color in hot weather.
These plants are huge dormant bare root 2 year old plants. This size you would see in a garden center in 1-2 gallons containers. They were originally 3+ foot tall, but have been pruned back to promote branching.
